When we set out to create our first seniors’ residence, we knew we wanted it to be unique. Straying from the regimented schedule common in other residences, we wanted to create a community that encouraged an active, independent lifestyle. In November 2020, that vision was realised with the opening of The Edward, our boutique-style, luxury living space for seniors in South Calgary. The Edward is named after the nearby former King Edward School — a space transformed into cSpace Marda Loop in 2001, and now cutting-edge art house full of public exhibitions, arts education, boutiques, studios, and more.
This landmark project stands as a symbol of our passion for creating communities that inspire and elevate lives. The Edward redefines senior living in Calgary, setting a new benchmark for luxury, comfort, and connection. It is more than a building—it continues to be a defining achievement and legacy project for our team, and we are proud to have created the ultimate destination for retirement living.
In November 2025, we entrusted The Edward to Chartwell Retirement Residences through the sale of the building, confident that the strong foundation and vibrant culture we have created will continue to flourish. This project will forever hold a special place in our story, representing the vision and dedication that drives everything we do. As we look to the future, we remain committed to bringing the same passion and creativity to new developments that shape communities and enrich lives.
